I can hardly believe it, because on February 2, 2006, together with the car dealership in Friedrichshain, I presented the then new Citroën C6, as part of its predecessors, in the then Meilenwerk in Berlin (renamed Classic Remise Berlin in 2011). My company Atelier Automobile GmbH was founded just two years ago and now we have already celebrated our twentieth anniversary. In this respect, the Citroën C6 plays a special role for us and we are therefore very pleased that now, as it is maturing into a classic, we can offer this C6 with a three-liter petrol engine. Roland Kayser, company founder and managing director.

With the C6, Citroën officially linked up with its automotive history for the first time. Previously, the company only looked after its new and current vehicles and left the maintenance of its history essentially to the classic car scene itself. With the C6, that changed and it was also presented in print and TV advertisements together with a DS or a CX. Dealers were now also able to present their new cars alongside the brand’s historic models. The company had previously prohibited this. The C6 was not a retro-designed car like the Mini or Fiat 500 at the time, but it incorporated styling elements from the DS and CX. The front section had no design elements from the classics, but was designed to be as impressive as the DS, and the cornering lights were also there again. The doors were frameless like the DS; the rear was based on the style of the XM with the concave rear window like the CX. The chassis was of course hydropneumatic and all models had lane assist, bi-xenon cornering lights, electronic parking brake, multi-zone air conditioning, eight airbags and an active bonnet that provides special protection for pedestrians. The C6 was also the first car to be equipped with a head-up display as standard. The vehicle was initially offered with 4 and 6 cylinder engines from 170 to 211 hp, and in 2009 a diesel with an increased output of 241 hp was added. By 2012, 23,384 units had been built. The model was not as successful as hoped, but it heralded a certain turnaround at Citroën, which in 2014 led to the new DS brand for exquisitely equipped vehicles from the PSA or today’s Stellantis group. Incidentally, it was the C6 that enjoyed the demand that was hoped for immediately after production ceased. But now it was too late and the prices for really good examples with mileage of less than 10,000 km are already approaching the new price at the time.

This C6, with the petrol engine, which is quite rare in contrast to the diesel, was first registered on May 21, 2008 in La Grande-Motte near Montpellier. On June 1st, 2016, the car was bought by a Citroën owner from Hanover. The vehicle, which had been in first hands until then, was finally brought to Hanover and “naturalized” in Germany on October 13th, 2016 with a full inspection by DEKRA. The mileage at that time was 125,698 kilometers. Since then, the car has been regularly serviced by a Citroën workshop. The timing belt was replaced at around 140,000 km, all six ignition coils in 2022 and the starter in 2023. The current mileage is 168,796. The Citroën owner is a good customer of ours and has entrusted us with marketing his car. Real Citroën owners call the C6 the last classic Citroën – Dernière Citroën Classique.

Our Économie offer for €14,600 refers to the vehicle that has been tested and is roadworthy and has a general inspection valid until March 2026. The standard offer for €17,900 includes an inspection with oil change, a new roof lining and paint polish with sealing. The Suprême offer for €19,900 also includes new tires and new suspension balls. We would be happy to send you a list of the three offers.
