Job advertisement for master craftsman
Who we are…
Our company has been repairing, restoring and trading mainly in French and Swedish vintage and classic cars since 2004. Since then, over 1,300 vehicles have passed through our workshop, many of which have been restored from the ground up, and we now sell around 50 vehicles a year. Around 20% of the cars we sell stay in the Berlin area and the other 80% are distributed across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. But we have also had customers in other European countries and other continents. Our workshop is located in the Classic Remise in Berlin and has now become a kind of “Mecca” for the scene. We are a bit of a showcase here and it is part of our philosophy that the workshop is open to the public. So we have a certain show character and a correspondingly international audience.
What we offer…
- Interesting and diverse field of work
- Dealing with interesting, diverse customers from home and abroad
- Stylish ambience in the historic building of the Classic Remise Berlin
- Flexible working hours (4 or 5 days a week)
- Clean changing rooms and sanitary facilities for men and women
- Occasional project-related collaboration with HTW Berlin
- Above-average monthly salary
- Opportunities for advancement
- Very good, respectful working atmosphere
- Full-time employment on a 40 hour basis, or by arrangement
- Working hours are decided by the team
Who we are looking for…
Master classic car technician. Since this profession is not yet recognized, our new employee should have completed training as a master classic car technician. A few years of professional experience would be ideal, but it is much more important to us that the person is committed and has the necessary “heart for historic vehicles” to turn their passion for classic cars into a career – and of course they should also fit into our team. Gender, age and nationality are irrelevant to us, because none of this has anything to do with qualifications.
Tasks:
- Management and supervision of our workshop team including two trainees
- Good and reliable interface to management
- Procurement of spare parts and general workshop supplies
- Support for all our employees in the workshop and in the office
- Organisation of the workshop process and workshop maintenance
- Willingness to make occasional errand trips within Berlin and the surrounding area
- Willingness to pick up or deliver vehicles with the company’s own transporter
Requirements:
- Completed training as a master automotive technician or equivalent qualification
- Ability to lead a team
- Good, polite manners
- Passionate interest in automobiles and vintage cars
- Confident demeanor in customer meetings
- Commitment
- Driving license at least class B
- Fluent German, basic knowledge of English and also French
If you have the interest in the subject matter, the work is fun and the requirements are not rocket science. You are welcome to send us applications by email or bring them in person. We hope you enjoy writing your application and good luck!
