Since March 10, 2017, our managing director, Dipl.-Ing. Roland Kayser, has been a member of the Parliamentary Group for Automobile Cultural Heritage in the German Bundestag. The Parliamentary Group discusses issues relating to automobile cultural heritage and attempts are made to influence the design of legislation. Conversely, the Parliamentary Group ensures that important information is passed on from the Bundestag. In other words, exactly what is generally referred to as lobbying. Lobbying is essential for sensible legislation, because the legislator cannot oversee and take into account all of the concerns of an industry. Lobbyists are traditionally thought of as a link between the legislator and the population. Good lobbyists think long-term in the interests of the citizens and are not interested in the short-term advantages of an industry or even a company. Long-term thinking and action must therefore not be subordinated to short-term advantages! Our Mr. Kayser feels committed to this premise and is therefore very pleased to have been accepted into the Parliamentary Group for Automobile Cultural Heritage.
On June 20, 2023, the Parliamentary Group for Automobile Cultural Heritage met, for once, not in the Paul Löbe House in Berlin’s government district, but in the Classic Remise Berlin. For the third time now, the topic of climate-neutral fuels was also discussed, such as e-fuels and HVO diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil). After Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing spoke out in favor of technological openness in Brussels and climate-neutral combustion engines will continue to be allowed to be driven from 2035, the topic is finally getting the attention it deserves. The Parliamentary Group for Automobile Cultural Heritage has long advocated eFuels as an alternative and we are proud that we played a key role in ensuring that climate-neutral fuels are now an integral part of the political agenda. Thank you to everyone involved…
